A PDF stores a finished page, while DOCX stores editable document structure. Conversion reconstructs that structure so you can revise the wording in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. Results are strongest when the PDF contains selectable text.
Scans need OCR first
A photographed or scanned page contains pixels, not characters. This converter does not perform optical character recognition, so image-only PDFs need an OCR tool before their text can become editable.
Reconstruction has limits
Columns, unusual fonts, overlapping objects and complex graphics may move because PDF does not retain the same editing structure as DOCX. Always compare important tables and page breaks with the source PDF.
